((OOC: Vern has a bit of a potty mouth, so I figured I'd warn yall))
The dense foliage was a sea of green on all sides of the orange, brown, and white Russian femme whose honey hued orbs carefully scanned her unfamiliar surroundings. Pushing her way through a wall of leaves and vines, the fae had not a clue as to where she was going, unable to navigate using the location of the sun due to the thick canopy that allowed for the passage of only a little light; not enough to tell her the direction of the sun. Sighing in frustration, the femme stubbornly dropped her haunches to the ground with a ‘huff,’ scowling at the foliage that trapped her. Where the hell am I? One minute I’m just cruising through the land and the next the ground literally starts to seize and the next thing I know I wake up in this green hell hole. Growling, the femme nonchalantly lifted her hind leg and leaned her head back towards the right, scratching behind her ear several times. And there are too many damn bugs in here.
After satisfying the itch behind her ear, the orange hued femme once again tried to find her way out of the thick rainforest but the frustration of not being able to do so grew more and more unbearable by the minute. I haven’t even seen or heard a single wolf in hours. Vern had no idea that she was currently trespassing on a pack’s territory and that if she was found she could end up in a bit of a pinch since she had not even announced her arrival. The lack of light in the forest along with several unfamiliar sounds made the femme somewhat uneasy, but the tomboyish Russian refused to show any external signs of fear or tension. “Damn stupid forest.”
Jumping in her own pelt, the femme was caught off guard by the screeching voice and was on the verge of squealing herself. What the fuck was that?! Growling the Russian fae’s honey orange orbs darted from the branch of one tree to another and to a next, scanning the area to find the source of the irritating voice that mimicked her in the most awful voice. “Who the hell are you?!”
“AWWK! The hell are yooooou! The hell are yoooooooou!”
A flash of reds, blues, and greens showed momentarily between the leaves of a large tree before disappearing once again. “Oh my fricken gawd it’s one of those annoying ass talking birds…”
“Aaaassssss talking birds!”
Rolling her eyes, the femme decided to just press on and hope that she’d be soon out of earshot of the parrot. The sound of rustling leaves seemed to be following her in every single tree that she walked passed, following her through the early morning hours. Too her dismay, the colorful bird had decided to follow her for one reason or another. Growling, Vern turned to see the parrot fluttering the branch of one tree to that of another before hiding behind a bunch of leaves. “Why don’t you just piss off and go get a life and leave mine alone?!”
“Youuuuuu just piss! Youuuuu just piss!”
The Russian femme quickly lost her patience and charged at the tree, snarling as she leaped up towards the branch the tropical bird was perched on, her ivories snapping at the air. Her generally smooth eyes seemed to be burning in her irritation. “Why don’t get your ass down here so I can shut you up myself!” The femme was now standing on her rear legs with her front paws grasping the tree’s trunk as she futilely tried to get to the peeving creature. Little did the two of them know, there was a third party in the premises with its eyes on both the wolf and bird, debating on whether to have the main course or the dessert first.
"Aaaasssss down here! Aaassss down here!"
The feud between the parrot and Russian wolf continued with the former constantly repeating the latter’s obscenities, both of them too pre-occupied to notice the spotted creature slowly approach. Suddenly the sharp snarl of a large feline interrupted the pointless argument as the jaguar leaped down from a higher branch onto the one that the parrot carelessly lounged on. Before the bird had time to react, the spotted feline had it in his powerful jaws and effortlessly crushed it, silencing it for good. Wide-eyed, Vern quickly dropped her front paws from the tree before high tailing it away from the beast, knowing full well that she couldn’t take down the more nimble and muscular feline all on her own. As she darted through the rainforest, she noticed that the foliage was getting thicker and thicker by the second and was relieved to be putting something between herself and the jaguar. At least that damn bird cant bother me anymore. But I was about to shit myself when I saw that huge ass cat.

Arutona had followed his sister for a long time, he had tried to talk to her several times but she had ignored him almost completely. They had tracked through the desert, following the river they had stumbled onto; however, he had lost her when the two of them had entered a large wet forest the likes of he’d never seen before. If it wasn’t for his sister’s anger and pain, Aru would have been greatly enjoying the time away from his parents, being somewhere different. To be completely honest, he rather liked the warm weather. Well, besides the fact that his heavy coat was shedding and slightly patchy, but he knew that it would stop soon, it was mostly done already.
“Nae?!” His voice was muffled by the thick under bush as he pushed his way through. The sticks and plants snagged his coat and face, he was too large to really like this place much, only small wolves could get through here easily, really, but even then is was dangerous. ‘Where did Nae run off to?’ He whined softly as he continued to push through the thick rainforest. Of course, he hadn’t noticed that these were a packs lands, he hadn’t even thought to check for it, or the desert before these forests either. He really was going to end up in trouble if he wasn’t careful.
Suddenly, a body slammed into him roughly, sending both him and the other figure tumbling into the bushes. “Whaaa!” The male cried out as the two tumbled for a moment before they landed with the female on top of him. Blinking several times Arutona stared up at the multi-colored femora and a slight, silly grin crossed his maw, his front paws were pulled close to his chest and a young, amused expression was on his face. “Hi-ya” He mused gently before carefully wiggling out from under her and standing up, shaking the foliage from his coat and turning to face the pretty Russian femme. Her coat was covered in lovely shades of color, and her eyes were to die for. “You… Should probably watch where you’re going… You alright?” He asked, still smiling, he wasn’t hurt at all, but he wanted to make sure she wasn’t. He’d hate for such a pretty thing to spoil her coat.
“You’re pretty…” He mused softly, not even really realizing that he said that allowed, his head tilting to the head slightly. Suddenly remembering he hadn’t introduced himself, he jumped a little then grinned again “Oh! My name’s Arutona Nenharma, by the way…” He trailed off slightly and looked around, getting slightly distracted by all of the birds and other colorful animals hanging around the treetops nearby. Some animals were so pretty, and he’d never been in a forest like this before, so it was all new and fascinating to him still.
Suddenly, he remembered what had brought him here. “Oh, right, I’m here looking for my sister! Have you seen her? She’s a lot smaller then me… And you too, and she’s dark colored and um…” He trailed off as he tried to remember more of his sisters characteristics, his nose wrinkling slightly. “Ahh… She has a bunch of stiff bristles on the back of her neck, too, her fur stands up kinda funny… I kinda got separated from her when we got here…” He frowned and looked around again, his ear twitching as a bug attacked it. “Where is here, anyways?” He had done more talking just now then he had since he was born, but he had a reason to speak for the first time since he was born, as well.

Naesse wasn’t sure how long she’d been running for.
Naesse’s chest heaved with each large step she drew. Her leg muscles burned from her running all the way from the highlands down to the deserts. She’d ran far, and nonstop. She was beginning to grow tired, and her eyes burned from crying, her paw pads felt as if she ran more they might blister.
She was not oblivious to the calls of her slightly younger (though much bigger) brother’s calls. She’d heard him, and although at times felt bad he’d been following her and with much effort and determination, he refused to give up. She knew he was only worried about her, but, she couldn’t face him. Not after what she’d said, and right now, she was hurt and just wanted to be alone.
It was not until she reached the dense forest until she finally slowed down. The lower branches, and tall foliage made it difficult to run. Instead, the Russian femme slowed her pace into a soft trot and soon to a slow walk. This place reminded her of the thickets in Narwain, but, instead of the place being cold, it was very warm and very humid, which made the heat seem warmer. She wrinkled her nose and hissed at the heat, shaking her pelt every once in a while, letting large amounts of her fur to shed off at once. Glad to have inherited her father’s Russian blood that allowed her fur to thin or thicken depending on her surrounding climate.
Although it was hot and she was sweating like mad under her thick coat, she found this place fascinating. Never in her life had she seen such lush green leaves and bushes. Vines greener than anything she’d seen before. Blinking slowly, her deep brown, near red eyes gazed up at the high canopies that held the humid moisture into the forest and blocked the sun out, the only acceptations where the small holes in the coverage, which brought down thin rays of light onto Arquen’s floor.
The place was quite fascinating, and creatures lingered around in the tree tops and the jungle’s floor, making unfamiliar noises, which told her these where creatures she’d never seen before. Colorful birds flew by, and strange two-legged animals swung in the air from vine to vine, seemingly in a hurry to get somewhere as they shouted things Naesse couldn’t understand.
“Whaaa!” Came a struggled cry, and Naesse’s ears flattened against her head as she recognized the cry as her brother’s. “Aru…” She murmured before taking off in the direction the cry had come from. Sticks and other exotic plants snagged her coat, pulling more fur off her thinning pelt as she ran through, some even dared go deep enough to cut her skin. It did not take her long to find her brother, but what she found wasn’t what she was expecting. First her eyes narrowed at the femme, who at first in her mind seemed to be the cause of her brother’s cry, but Naesse relax as her brother did not seem threatened by this other femme and a sigh escaped her maw. Silly she’d been worried about her brother, although he wasn’t the brightest of their litter, he was fairly large, much larger than herself and she had no doubt he could take care of himself. Although she was his big sister, she felt he would more than likely through the years protect her than the other way around.
Sighing, she was already here so there wasn’t a point in running any longer. She patted forward towards the two and walked up to her brother and nuzzled him under his chin and against his chest. She nuzzled him affectingly, glad he was alright and grateful he’d come after her, and apologetically she’d ran from him and ignored his calls and cries. She felt she failed as a older sister. She sighed and turned to the other femme who was a few inches larger than herself, although it did not bother her as much. A couple inches made no difference to her, but unlike her brother, who was nearly ten inches taller than her. Her ears barely reached his neck as she sat down beside him, his chest against her back as he towered over her. She’d never realized how much larger her brother was than her.
Awkwardly, her deep brown orbs met with the other femme’s honey orange hues. Naesse wasn’t quite sure what to say to the femme. But introductions could be a start. “Sorry if my brother has caused you any trouble, but I thank you for helping me find him…” She trailed slightly licking her lips before she continued. “I’m Naesse Lutefi, it’s a pleasure to meet you…” She trailed slightly, as she did not know the other femme’s name. Her hues looked directly up at her brother’s odd orbs, wondering if he knew who she was yet. But his anxious look told her she was awaiting her to introduce herself as well. She sighed and waited as well for the multi-hued femme to reveal to them who she was.

“AHHHH!!!” The year old femme shrieked when she felt a large mass pummel into her, her mind already assuming that it was the jaguar that she had been fleeing for the past several minutes. Never before had the Russian ever screamed like such a girl and the minute she gazed down at the golden hued wolf she hovered over, she regretted ever doing so. The femme could feel the heat of her anger rising in her as a growl threatened to escape her maw, but it was all momentarily halted when the gentle smile graced his maw and the fire in her eyes seemed to falter, but only for a second before the blaze ran wild again. “Who the hell are you to say that I should be the one watching where I’m going when you’re the blasted idiot who ran into me?!” The fae would have never admitted that she was terrified when she felt the unknown mass collide with her and was now striving to make sure that the brute thought she wasn’t afraid in the slightest. Clearing her throat, she stepped back as the brute freed himself from under her frame and snappily answered his question. “Yea I’m fine, never been better.”
“You’re pretty…” Her breath ceased and the tip of her tail flicked as her brow slowly knit together and her honey hued orbs glared at the golden brute, twitching every several seconds. “You. Did. Not. Just. Call. Me. PRETTY!” The femme angrily strode up to the larger brute and got in his face, or at least tried to, despite a nearly six inch difference in height. Just as she was about to drown him in a sea of obscenities, the brute smiled that ridiculous wolfish grin that somehow managed to completely stop her in her tracks for just a second before she was brought back to her senses. Vern despised the fact that this brute was able to somehow quell the fire of her soul, even if it was just momentarily. “Well Nenharma… GO AWAY!” The femme couldn’t think of anything else to say, especially under his brown and red gaze and wanted nothing more than to be free from this strange power he unknowingly had over her.
As she waited for the brute to leave, Vern sat and began to scratch at her neck and sides, trying to rid herself of the clumps of orange, brown, and white fur that loosened every second she spent in the hot and humid climate. “Ahhh…. Much better.” She could feel the air touch her skin in the areas where she removed the thick, molting fur. By the time she was done, she looked up to see that the other Russian had yet to vacate the premises. “Dude really, must you stick around? Or do I need to make you leave?” She said rising to her quads and stretching out her muscles, flexing every now and then, displaying her physical capabilities. It was very unlike most femmes to act in such a way, especially when in the presence of such a godly brute, but Vern wasn’t about to be the one to leave.
As the brute began to ask her if she’d seen his sister, Vern stopped her act and shook her head. “Nope, she’s not here so you can continue on and find her. And I don’t know where “here” is. Here is here, good enough?” Just as those words left her mouth, a smaller femme with bristly red fur running up her neck caught the attention of her honey gaze and Vern took a tentative step back. Must be the sister… Great! Now he doesn’t get to leave to find her… Just my luck. As the smaller Russian apologized on behalf of her brother, Vern cleared her throat and nodded, “Damn well better be sorry. Knocked me off my paws that pesky brother of yours.” Scowling up at him once more, her eyes fell upon his grinning maw and once again, the look of irritation melted away, but only for a second. When the fae introduced herself as Naesse Lutefi, Vern raised her brow before introducing herself. Different last names? Interesting…“Call me Vern or Saelphilin. Nothing else.”
Sighing, Vern had to admit, she had no idea where she was and also had no clue as to how to get out of this wretched tangled mess of a jungle. The femme was generally too proud and too stubborn to ask for the help of others, especially when it came to navigation. She hated nothing more than asking for directions, she always felt like a lost little girl when she would ask. But Vern was still concerned about the large feline that had swallowed the annoying bird and would feel much safer in an open area where she couldn’t be easily caught off guard. When she stopped and thought about her options, the Russian decided that it would be much safer and smarter to hang around with these wolves, at least for now.
Inhaling a sharp breath and sighing deeply, Vern glanced over at the siblings, “Look. We need to get out of this jungle. Not long before you ran into me, I saw this large spotted cat jump from a tree branch and kill this big colorful bird.” The young Russian had no clue what the creatures were called, so settled with brief descriptions. “Anyways, this isn’t any ordinary cat; it has these strong powerful jaws and although it looks small, its much stronger. I was actually… putting some distance between it and myself and if it wasn’t satisfied by the appetizer, surely he’d follow the scent of the entrée. Get my drift?”

Arutona blinked at the female as she went off on him, his head tilted to the side slightly as she spoke. “I did? Oh… I’m so sorry, then, I didn’t mean to” He said and gave a sheepish, almost childish grin. He hadn’t even aware he had been running to be able to run into someone, but he had no reason to distrust this femme, so he’d believe her. When she said she was fine, Aru grinned slightly and nodded. “That’s good, would have been bad if I’d hurt you… I do that, sometimes…” He said softly, completely ignoring the sarcasm in the female’s voice. No, Aru was defiantly not the brightest crayon in the box, that was pretty obvious, but in a way, it kept the brute from being hurt by sarcastic wolves like this femme. And it wasn’t all the fact that he didn’t notice it, a lot of the time he did, he could tell when someone was angry, or trying to bother him, but he just chose to ignore it.
As the female snapped and started yelling at him, Arutona blinked a couple of times. “Huh? Did I…?” The brute tilted his head to the side again and flicked his ear back slightly as the female got up in his face, however an amused grin occupied his face, he wasn’t afraid of her and actually found it a bit amusing. “Would you prefer handsome, then? Or good looking… It accounts for all of the above, I suppose” He said and smiled. She was a very good looking femme, but now that he got a good look at her she did seem very muscular for a female, that, however, didn’t bother him in the least, she was still attractive.
As she spoke again Aru gave a small giggle, he wasn’t usually called by his last name. “Most people call me Aru, you can too, if you want” He mused, ignoring the ‘go away’ part of the sentence completely, he didn’t want to go away yet, he was still curious about this femme. Besides, he didn’t really want to be alone in a place he’d never been before, especially when he had no idea where his sister was. Though, he’d never admit to being scared of being alone… But he was, a little.
As the other Russian began to help her shedding fur, Aru realized how hot he actually was. His fur had been shedding for awhile, since he had to trek through the desert with his older sister, but there was still enough left that made him feel hot. Standing up Aru shook himself, his shedding golden fur falling off onto the ground, it did feel much better. When Vern spoke to him again, however, Aru’s attention was averted from his own coat and back to her’s. “Make me leave? How are you planning on doing that?” He asked in a surprisingly innocent voice, pouting slightly. He wasn’t really bothered by this femme’s hostility like most might have been, it was odd really, he kind of liked it, she could stand up for herself and what she wanted, and didn’t just go along with what everyone else said. As she stretched out Aru watched her, yes, she was obviously very muscular, but he found that kind of attractive, to be completely honest.
When the Russian femme said that she hadn’t seen his sister and didn’t know where ‘here’ was, Aru’s stomach sunk a little. That wasn’t good, that neither of them knew where they were, and didn’t know where his sister was… What if she was injured? Or lost? Or… Before he had a chance to get anymore worried about his sister, she showed up where the two were holding ground for the time being. “Nessie!” He called out happily and nuzzled and licked her happily as she came over to nuzzle him. The earlier hate, confusion and tears forgotten by the much larger Russian by the time being.
When his sister and the new femme he had just met began to talk Aru grinned a little, he felt slightly embarrassed, but he wasn’t sure why. Looking down at his sister that sat leaning against him and then back at Vern, Arutona pouted a little. “I didn’t mean to! I didn’t see her and then next thing I knew we were on the ground on top of each other!” He said apologetically and gave a hopeful grin, he didn’t want to get scolded for hurting someone.
When the Russian female introduced herself as Vern, Aru grinned slightly. “Cool name, I like it” He said. It was obvious, even to Aru, how much this female embraced her masculine side, especially now that he knew her name. Allowing his eyes to leave the two wolves he was with, the Russian brute looked around, for the first time realizing that he didn’t remember how to get out, he might have been able to figure it out before, but after getting knocked off his feet, he had lost his sense of direction completely.
When Vern spoke up again, Aru’s attention was brought back to her as he listened to her speak about her encounter before she came across Aru. “That does sound a little scary, maybe we should get out of here…” He trailed off slightly as he looked around again, frowning slightly. “Erm… I think… I came from… That direction… Or that one… Umm…” He laid one ear back and looked down at Nae for help, he really had no clue where to go and hoped she did.

One ear flicked back as the slightly older femora spoke to Naesse, a slight frown formed on the Moe hawked wolf’s maw. A slight change in posture that was however ever so slight it would go unnoticed by those around her. Naesse wasn’t sure about this femmora at this particular moment in time. She seemed very rude and definitely someone she wouldn’t want her brother to be involved with. Her dark hues eyed her brother as he grinned his goofy grin at the muscular femme. Naesse sighed, this was really their first rogue encounter… Maybe they should be a bit more cautious, after all they didn’t know this wolf, besides that her name was Vern and her and her brother had an accidental tumble through the jungle. Because they where both being ignorant. At lest, that’s what the mixed hued femme had concluded from both sides of the story.
A sort of awkward silence filled the air, and Nessie’s ear twitched ever so slightly. Silence, she disliked it greatly. Something she lived with a lot with her family in the past few months. Her jaw tightened and her teeth pressed firmly against the other and with a slight firm movement they grinded together hardly as she tried to stress out her anger she felt. She was definitely not happy with her family. ‘How could they keep something so important from us?’ She seethed, sure she was angry now and didn’t mean what she had said when she said she hated them… But, she wasn’t sure she’d be able to forgive her parents from keeping such a large secret from her.
Furrowing her brows, until her forehead hurt the multi-hued femora squeezed her eyes shut and sighed roughly. She wasn’t sure what to do now. She definitely wasn’t going back to apologize anytime soon though. ‘I’m almost a year old, I guess, it’s time I be out on my own. Join a pack, maybe stay a rogue and travel a while…’ She thought, though the thought of being a rogue made her heart sink. For her whole life she’d been nothing but just a rogue. Because of her father, she didn’t know what beef her father and the Angren’s alpha, Lexath had but because of it, it hindered her ability to actually be raised into a pack. Her and her siblings.
Snorting, Naesse turned on her paws and flicked her tail up slightly as she shook her fur out, more of it flying off as it grew more accustomed to the hot climate. A sharp sigh left her maw as she frowned back at the two other wolves behind her. Vern then spoke up Naesse couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the larger femora. Naesse could already see through her game. She acted all tough but really she was just like any other femora out there. Naesse wasn’t deaf and had heard the two cries, her brothers and this femmes. Apparently this jungle cat had scared her as well. Though, Naesse likely would have done the same. At lest she would admit it though instead of hiding it. Stretching out, Naesse popped her aching joints and stretched out her bulky, lean muscles and sighed. “Well, then we should get out of here. I don’t know about you two, but I know the way back to the desert. I’ll be heading that way. Do as you want, I suppose. Try not to get into any trouble, brother, I don’t want to have to come back here looking for you ‘cause ya got lost.”
The mohawked femme frowned at her own rudeness. ‘Ick, it’s contagious.’ She thought, slightly disgusted in herself, though it felt a bit good to be honest with her feelings. She was currently, fairly irritated and would rather just be alone. Which is why she ran away to begin with. Having to come back to find her brother had been a troublesome side stop to the no place in particular she was going. She sighed once more and with ease, climbed up the seep slope her brother and Vern had slide down. Reason one which was why they where probably lose. They rolled quite a bit down from what it seems like. Sliding tracks, matted, torn off fur and claw marks could be seen in the soil as she hiked her way up. It didn’t occur to her that her brother and the larger femme might not be able to follow her. Being she was smaller meant she could fit in smaller places and the foliage was definitely deep in the jungle, which made it difficult for larger wolves like Vern and Aru to travel through. Something Nae didn’t anticipated, but would be beneficial to her when she could not be followed.
Thus, the mohawked femme trotted off back on track, in the opposite direction she’d originally set corse on. Leading back towards the desert where she’d come through to get to the jungle. She’d rather liked the temperature of the desert and might make that place her first home.

The rainbowed pelt of the brute blended in oddly well with the jungle around him, like a parrot or other colorful animal of the jungle. As he walked slowly through the underbrush, he closed his eyes, he didn’t really need to see to be completely honest, he was so used to the thick undergrowth of the jungle that the way to push through it was as natural as eating and sleeping to him. ‘How could I? How could I like a fae that has a mate and pups?’ He growled to himself with slight frustration. Perhaps it was just an innocent crush, but Icari was a beautiful fae, and he couldn’t help but feel bad that she was alone right now. Perhaps he should have followed her, but at the same time, he felt like she should have time alone to bury her dead daughter, as that was not something he wished to interfere with.
As he continued to walk and mentally argue with himself about what to do, a scent caught his attention and he stopped. There were others on the lands? Rouges? He didn’t recognize the scents, but they hadn’t howled either, which was against the rules when you were on pack lands. ‘Might as well check it out…’ He thought and headed in the direction of the scent. There were three different scents, two female and a male, none of them he knew, but that wasn’t really a surprise. As he got closer to the group he slowed down and lowered himself to the ground, creeping closer slowly. He could hear what they were saying, but only caught the tail end of their conversation. The one femme was talking about a jaguar she had encountered and about how they should get out of there, but they didn’t seem to know the way out.
He was just about to show himself, when the smaller femme exclaimed that she was leaving and took off, however the direction she took off in would make it almost impossible for the other two to follow. Once she was gone, Kalthore stood up and walked out of the bushes. Aside from the remaining female being a bit rude, they seemed harmless enough. “Good evening” He said softly and dibbed his head slightly, smiling slightly. “You two do realize you are trespassing on a packs territory and could get yourselves into trouble, do you not?” He said, his words holding a bit of warning, however his tone and the smile on his face said that he wasn’t about to get them in any kind of trouble.
Sitting himself down Kalthore sighed softly, figuring he might as well introduce himself. “My name is Kalthore Yávëtil” He said softly and licked his maw slightly, flicking one of his red ears slightly as a bug bothered it. “I over heard you talking about leaving, and unfortunately, the path your friend took isn’t really suitable for wolves of your size, however I’d happily escort you to the way out if you would like” He offered and smiled slightly, waiting to see if they would accept his offer or not. While he waited, he looked the two wolves over, their coats were slightly similar in color, golds, browns and blacks mostly, rich and rather attractive colors. They were Russians, between the pelt color and the shedding fur it was quite an obvious observation.

Vern gazed at the brute with a slightly perplexed and dull expression as he apologized for having run in to her. Well… that was easy. Honestly, she was confused. Did he have amnesia or a very poor short term memory? Had he not just blamed her for the incident? Sighing, the orange and brown femme shook her head, but her deduction was further proved when the golden brute reacted to her outburst to his “pretty” comment as if he hadn’t said it. “Dude, you have some maaajor issues to workout with yourself,” she said chuckling.
When he suggested “handsome” or “good looking” as alternatives to his previous comment, Vern thought about it for a second before shrugging. “Either will work. Just. Not. Pretty.” She put emphasis on each word, hoping that it will get through to the brute that she very much disliked the word. Vern prided herself on her non-feminine attributes and felt belittled by the comment, though she would never admit that’s how she felt about it.
By now the femme’s temper had cooled significantly since after her most recent flare and her use of profane language had drastically decreased. But as the brute’s seemingly innocent inquires as to how she would get rid of him reached her darkened ears, the femme rolled her eyes and the question seemed to roll off her shoulders. In most cases she wouldn’t have hesitated to demonstrate, but for some reason, she opted not to. Maybe it was the innocent tone in which the comment was delivered. Usually these questions were made by sexist brutes she encountered who saw her as a harmless and inconsequential fae and didn’t take her seriously. Usually their tone was of derision and usually, she’d be at their throats by now, but not this time. “Well Aru, I'll just allow you to use your imagination this time.”
When the larger described to his sister how he accidentally collided with Vern, the femme’s eyes nearly jumped out of her head. We were on the ground on top of each other?! Could he not have used just a little more discretion?! Fuming, the femme turned away for moment to hide the embarrassment the brute’s words caused her, pretending to let the siblings talk amongst themselves. But she failed to hear the brute’s compliment towards her name, which in fact, she probably wouldn’t have minded at all. Sighing, she stood there staring at the green jungle, trying to think of what she would do next. I could just keep going about as a rogue like I had before the earthquake. Not so sure if I’m ready for pack life yet, though I wouldn’t mind some company. Maybe I’ll bump into a few other rogues. Blinking, the femme glanced back over her shoulders at the siblings before turning her head forward once again with a slight scowl. Just not those rogues.
Wait, where’d the one with the strange fur go off to? Turning around completely to see that it was only herself and Aru in the jungle, Vern’s honey hued orbs flickered about. Don’t tell me she left me with her brother… Looking over at Aru once more, she sighed at his lost expression. “You don’t know the way out either and the only who did left without us. Great.” Grumbling to herself, Vern sat with a “huff” and gazed at the brute, not realizing though that she was admiring his features; he was large and had a nice physique, his golden fur was highly attractive, and his odd colored eyes were very unique.
Only when she heard another, unfamiliar, voice did she notice that she was staring. She tried not to think much of it and focused her attention to the colorful brute. “Wow… He looks a lot like that talking bird that ticked me off.” Vern murmured more for herself, not trying to offend the brute, but stating a point that was at the forefront of her mind. When the brute when on to state that this land belonged to a pack, Vern rose to her paws, “Actually I don’t believe that either of us realized that, there was no scent of wolves around here to indicate that,” she said in their defense.
As the brute went on to introduce himself and offer his assistance in leading them out of the pack’s lands, Vern’s eyes seemed to flash with relief. Thank god. I’d hate to be stuck in this mess any longer. The femme honestly wouldn’t mind getting out of this dense jungle and was somewhat relieved that someone around here knew the way out. “Well Kalthore, lead the way.”

Trotting...Walking... More trotting... More walking. Both Sin and Sellion walked for miles just to find that perfect hunting spot. "I'm sure... It is around here somewhere. I've been here before." Sin told Sellion she assumed was behind her. The thick foliage was pushed out of the way as Sin's black form walked through. The place felt claustrophobic with all the vegetation, but there is a clearing somewhere in this mess.
There were sounds of squawking birds in the background, but also voices followed by the scent of wolves. "Hmm... We're not alone hun." Sin muttered and sighed. As they continued on further, the voices became more clear. “...There was no scent of wolves around here to indicate that,” Sin smoothly pushed through the bushes, revealing herself into the clearing where she saw three wolves. Two large golden colored wolves, and a rainbow colored male. Sin eyed intrigued with the colorful brute, she snickered softly and flicked her tail, looking back waiting for Sellion to emerge from the bushes as well.
"What a nice looking group of wolves." Sin spoke up cheerfully as the group seemed to prepare to leave. Her eyes traced the largest form in the clearing. Blinking at his enormous size, she soon stood in place to avoid trouble. Then glanced back at the rainbow brute. "Hah wow." Her mouth gaped with fascination. She had never seen such a colorful wolf in her life. "Wonderful." Sin laughed and spun around to face her mate. "Sell, this is usually where a herd of deer are. But instead we're hunting wolves." She continued to giggle, arching her neck over her shoulder to look back at the group. "I'm completely joking, that ain't me." She smiled nicely then lowered to her haunches beside her mate.

The thick furred wolf had a difficult time keeping up with his mate as they traveled from the cold regions of his homelands and through the barren desert which, luckily, wasn't too unbearable since it was still night. All along the way the brute thought of cold winter days and the falling snow. We just had to come to this 'special hunting place'. Inwardly, the brute was somewhat irritable, mostly just from the heat and long journey, but he did his best to keep his frustrations to himself. This must be similar to how Sin felt up in the cooler lands. She's a trooper.
It felt like ages before the dry, dusty earth yielded to the dense green foliage of a jungle. Sellion felt nothing but sheer relief when he followed Sin into the cooler jungle. The humidity and warmth of the understory would usually have the brute itching to leave, but after the journey through the desert, the tundra brute embraced it. When the night-black femme stated that there were other wolves nearby, Sellion perked up his ears, "Where?" He wasn't at his greatest at the moment; his alertness was slightly decreased.
Sellion stopped right next to Sin when they came upon the other wolves, ignoring his issues with the warmth and focusing on the strangers before him; a large golden brute and orange-ish fae and another brute who wore a coat of several colors. The brute's maw seemed to pout slightly as Sin admired the other wolves. That femme has the body a brute. When his mate turned to face him, he lifted his frown into a brilliant smile, trying not to get caught in his jealousy. Chuckling at the femme's joke, Sellion looked over her at the other three wolves. It would be easier to bring down something big if had the help of three more wolves.
Sellion took a step towards the trio, "My name is Sellion and this is my mate Artanis. We we're hoping to find some good game around here for ourselves, but we wouldn't mind opening our party to you," he offered. What the brute didn't realize though, was that they were in the territory of another pack and that hunting on it without permission from the alpha could lead to trouble if they were caught. Again the brute's stomach growled, something that was continuous along their journey from Narwain to Alya, something that was beginning to drive him mad.

While his sister and Vern were busy being annoyed with each other, Aru was perfectly content chasing after a very unique looking butterfly he’d found. The bug in question was HUGE, bigger then any butterfly the brute had ever seen in the lands from where he’d come from. It was bright yellow-gold and brown, almost the same colors as Vern in a way. When the butterfly landed on a flower, Aru grinned slightly and lowered his muzzle to look at it. However, when the butterfly’s wings opened to reveal a very scary looking face, Aru’s eyes widened slightly and he let out a surprised yelp, stumbling back slightly before he turned and ran back into the clearing where Vern was and his sister used to be.
Arutona looked around for his sister to rant to about the scary butterfly, but his brow furrowed into a frown when she was nowhere to be seen. “Nessie left? Without saying goodbye?” He pouted slightly, much more upset that she hadn’t bothered to come say goodbye to him then the fact that she’d left while the both of them didn’t know where to go. Actually, he hadn’t even registered the latter yet. Sitting down on the forest floor, Aru sighed softly. ‘Now what?’ He wondered as he watched the fae watch him. Tilting his head to the side slightly, Arutona grinned a little, he wasn’t quite sure what Vern was looking at, but he didn’t find it bothersome, actually, he kind of liked it, at least she wasn’t ignoring him.
Before either of them had a chance to say anything, the sound of another wolf caught the brute’s attention and his head turned to look at him. As Aru took in the brute’s form his eyes widened slightly. “Whoa! You’re colorful” He pointed out of obvious and giggled softly, grinning harmlessly. “Hi!” He exclaimed, glad to see another wolf, his tail wagging slightly. However, when the brute mentioned that they were on a packs lands, Aru’s brow furrowed in a slight frown, he hadn’t bothered to check, so he couldn’t really vouch for there not being any scent, though the brute didn’t seem to be upset really. “Sorry, I didn’t know” He apologized and smiled, flicking his tail slightly.
When the colorful brute introduced himself, Aru grinned again and flicked his ears slightly. “I’m Aru!” He piped up, not really feeling like stating his full name, it sounded rather boring and he much preferred being called Aru. “Oh, and this is Vern” He poked his paw towards the female Russian as she failed to introduce herself. When Kalthore offered to lead them out of the jungle, Arutona nodded happily. “Yes, that would be nice, my sister was the only one that knew the way out and she left…” He pouted a little, a ping of pain in his chest at the thought of his sister leaving without saying goodbye, it was really bugging him and he’d have to search her out later, once they got out of the forest.
Before the trio had a chance to leave, however, Aru caught the sound of more wolves and his head turned towards their direction. Grinning happily the Russian brute padded over to them and wagged his tail slightly. So many new faces in one day, it was exciting, especially since Aru loved meeting new wolves. Though, one of these wolves wasn’t exactly a new face, Sellion Nidërsá had grown up in the same pack as himself, though they had only met briefly a few times Aru did recognize him. “Hey Sell!” He exclaimed happily and tackled him back on the jungle floor and licked his cheek. Giggling, Aru backed off the male to let him up and grinned. “Sell and I grew up in the same pack together” He barked, explaining to the others how he knew the older brute.
Backing away from the two a few more steps, Aru looked at the female Sell was with and smiled at her. “You’re mate, Sell? She’s pretty!” He complemented before adding in his head. ‘But, not as pretty as Vern… Er… Handsome?’ He corrected, looking back at the Russian femme and giggling softly before turning his attention back to the two newcomers and addressed the black and blue fae. “Hi! It’s nice to meet you, Artanis, you can call me Aru” He said, his tone of voice was a bit excited, he really enjoyed the company of others, and this large gathering was fun to him.
When Sell mentioned hunting, Aru’s expression brightened more, the male loved hunting, it was his favorite activity, the thrill of the chase, the adrenaline rush he got as he took down the pray. The brute grinned more and nodded excitedly. “Oh, yes, I’d love to come hunting with you!” He exclaimed happily, his tail wagging slightly. Turning, Aru bounded over to Vern and grinned slightly. “You should come too Vern! Please~?” He looked at her cutely with a hopeful grin. For some reason, the brute didn’t want her to leave him, despite her rudeness.
